Suva High Court Judge Justice Vincent Perera has acquitted two men who were charged for raping a 17-year-old girl in Vatuwaqa in 2015.
25-year-old Josefa Bera was charged with a count of rape while 27-year-old Matorino Madogo was facing two counts of rape.
The three assessors have found Bera and Madogo not guilty of the charges and Justice Perera has concurred with the not guilty opinion.
The girl had claimed that two men had raped her three times after meeting at a nightclub in Suva on the 10th of September, 2015.
She had told the court that the two men then left with her later that night promising to drop her at her home but instead took her to an isolated place in Vatuwaqa and raped her.
