The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step and I encourage you all to take that step.
These were the sentiments of Head Girl Amisha Maharaj while delivering her valedictorian speech at Gospel High School's Annual Graduation Day earlier today.
Maharaj, who plans to become a doctor, says it wasn't easy balancing school work, duties of a Head Girl and other extra curricula activities.
She says there were times when she wasn't able to attend some classes due to her other roles.
The Valedictorian says at night and during the weekends she made sure to study whatever lessons she had missed.
She says support from her family and the school's principle, Immanuel Prasad have helped her tremendously in her achievement today.
Maharaj has encouraged all students to work hard to make their parents proud.
