A man who was allegedly involved in a case of attacking police officers in Nabua last month appeared in the High Court today for another case where he is charged with one count of criminal trespass, one count of damaging property and one count of act with intent to cause grievous harm in November 2016.
High Court Judge Justice Daniel Goundar has asked the accused, Jone Vakarisi Junior to engage a lawyer soon so that he can be represented next time he appears in court for this case.
Justice Goundar also noted that Vakarisi has allegedly committed another offence while on bail for the existing case.
Vakarisi had replied that it was still an allegation.
He is to appear before High Court Judge Justice Vincent Perera on the 17th of this month.
Vakarisi is one of eight men who allegedly attacked police officers near the Mead Road Housing Complex in Nabua last month.
