A man who’s charges of robbery with violence has been directed to be withdrawn by the Director of Public Prosecutions, will appear in court today.
Director of Public Prosecutions, Christopher Pryde says they have received evidence that Jone Manasa was assaulted by Police in custody.
Pryde says the only evidence against Jone Manasa is the confession he made whilst in Police custody which the court has ruled as inadmissible.
He says the allegations against the police officers are very serious.
Pryde has also asked the police to investigate Manasa’s claim that he was assaulted by police officers.
