The new CEO of the Fiji Roads Authority is Jonathan Moore

The new CEO of the Fiji Roads Authority is Jonathan Moore.

Chairman of FRA Dinesh Patel says Moore is a British national and a professional engineer with 35 years of experience in the infrastructure sector.

Moore has worked in England, India, Dubai, Qatar and Abu Dhabi.

He last worked in Malaysia’s Ministry of Finance and looked after the upgrade and development of the road network there.

Patel says Moore has a proven track record and ability in construction, supervision and planning.

Moore says he is ready to work with the FRA team to upgrade the Fiji road network.

While making some initial comments when asked by Fijivillage on the plans to build new bridges, Moore says bridges are built to last 90 to 100 years.

He says that it is not right that some bridges need to be replaced after just 30 or 40 years.

Moore says all these issues will be looked at as they move forward to deliver the projects listed under the 2017/2018 National Budget.
