Those families who moved out after years of living in Jittu Estate particularly from the Lagilagi area, are the first people to be invited back to buy the new housing units.
People’s Community Network Chairman Father Kevin Barr has clarified that the project is aimed at only housing those families living in Jittu Estate.
Father Barr added that the Jittu residents need to meet a set criteria to get a unit.
Father Barr said Lagilagi Housing now has 77 units with the construction of the second phase of 76 units already underway.
He said the 76 units is expected to cost approximately $9 million and is expected to be completed by next year.
He added that the residents who have an account with PCN are required to save $40 a week for the two bedroom unit and $50 a week if they want a three bedroom unit.
