The staff of Homes of Hope had anInternational Women’s Day to remember after receiving Upgraded Facilities and equipment woth $184,720.
Under the Japan Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Project the Government of Japan upgrading of the facilities of the Homes of Hope Training Centre.
Ambassador of Japan Masahiro Omura says that this newly upgraded facility will enable Homes of Hope staff to enhance the quality of services they will deliver to empower women and girls.
Omura adds that the beauty of this initiative is that while mothers are learning, children will be cared for in the Homes of Hope Early Childhood Center which provides basic literacy and numeracy programs to children.
The Japanese Government also donated an oven, a dough mixer, bread baking tins, 11 solar flood lights, 10 sewing machines and irons, 10 desk and chairs, 2 cutting tables and an electric coconut scraping machine.
