Social Democratic Liberal Party’s rejected candidate Anare Jale said he will lodge an application with the Electoral Commission to review the decision of his nomination.
Jale said last night he was informed that his nomination was rejected as he was not in the country for less than 18 months over the last two years.
Jale said his travels out of Fiji were in his capacity as Ambassador.
Meanwhile the Social Democratic Liberal Party has expressed its disappointment in relation to the rejection of Anare Jale’s nomination as a candidate for the general elections.
SODELPA Leader Ro Teimumu Kepa said the party is not happy with the rejection as he has contributed a lot to the country.
Ro Teimumu said they were looking forward to Jale being a very positive contributor not only during their campaigning but after the elections.
