Dialogue Fiji has today said that it has been mistakenly reported by some media that the panel discussion on the constitution that took place on Monday 5th September was organised by Dialogue Fiji.
Executive Director Nilesh Lal says the event was organised by Pacific Dialogue, which is a different organisation.
Lal says the previous panel discussion on sugar held on the 23rd of August was also organised by Pacific Dialogue.
Dialogue Fiji is still awaiting a response from the police on their permit application for a sugar forum, lodged on 8th September.
Dialogue Fiji says it stands with the Civil Society community in expressing grave concern over the detention of a civil society activist.
