The Opposition has been told in parliament that it seems they are running out of ammunition.
While responding to the President’s speech, Minister for Forests Osea Naiqamu also said that the Opposition should not fire blindly.
Naiqamu said he was concerned with statements that have been made by the Opposition about over planted areas.
He told parliament that they receive reports from farmers and this is referred to Fiji Pine Limited for joint verification with the Itaukei Land Trust Board.
Naiqamu also said the Ministry of Forests which was previously seen as a male dominated Ministry is now focused on gender equality.
He said 43% of the Ministry’s employees are now females.
Naiqamu said for the first time they also have a female forest conservator.
