The National President of the Sathya Sai Organisation, Dr. Rajat Gyaneshwar says it is important to empower teenage mothers.
He reveals that as part of their village projects, their officers visited a village comprising of 14 teenage mothers and after 18 months of counselling and empowerment programs, these teenage mothers now have gotten themselves an employment.
He says some women need to be empowered in order to enter the job force.
Dr. Gyanseshwar says community empowerment is a major issue.
He adds they are also trying help reduce the number of domestic violence cases in Fiji by empowering women.
He says if women are empowered then they would stand for their rights and would not accept violence from a male.
