Counselling the fathers and young men of the province of Kadavu on how best to deal with the issue of cultivating marijuana is part of the discussions to be held next month.
Roko Tui Kadavu, Eroni Vunisa said with the presence of the Police and the nine chiefs, village headmen, representatives of the Tikina, Youth and Women, he is confident that they will come up with a positive outcome.
Vunisa said it is important that the chiefs and the Tikina representatives talk openly about this issue.
Police will continue to raid marijuana farms in the first quarter of the year as they want to cut off the source of marijuana supply in the country.
Meanwhile, police have so far uprooted over 6,000 plants believed to be marijuana following raids in Cakaudrove, Kadavu and Tailevu.
