Police are still investigating an incident where Police Commissioner, Ben Groenewald received superficial wounds while trying to stop a robbery at the Distill outlet in Flagstaff.
Police Chief of Intelligence and Investigations, ACP Henry Brown says some people are still in police custody who are been questioned in relation to this incident and few other robberies that occurred in the Central division.
He says five masked men who were armed entered the outlet and threatened the staff.
He adds Commissioner Groenewald who was at the scene stepped forward and said that he is the Commissioner of Police and asked the robbers to stop what they were doing.
He got injured in the process.
The robbers fled in a taxi.
Groenewald was treated and is now resting at home.
