Investigations continue into S.Nair Transport bus fires

The National Fire Authority and the Fiji Police Force are continuing investigations to establish the cause of fire at the S.Nair Transport garage in Wainibuku earlier this month.

12 buses sustained major damages.

NFA CEO John O’Connor said a full report is expected to be submitted by Wednesday.

He said it took a while for them to finalize the case because they had to wait for an overseas insurance investigator hired by S.Nair Transport to complete his investigation.

Meanwhile, 139 cases of fires have been reported this year which is an increase of 19 cases from last year.
