The Commissioner of Police Ben Groenewald said the investigation into the death of Vilikesa Soko continues.
Groenewald said he was briefed by the head of the investigating team Director Internal Affairs SSP Luke Navela this morning, adding the status quo remains as investigators continue to evaluate the scene of where the alleged incident took place.
Commissioner Groenewald continues to stress to the public and especially to Vilikesa Soko’s family that Police are leaving no stone unturned in getting to the bottom of what happened.
Soko who died in police custody was allegedly involved in the robbery at the City Forex Foreign Exchange in Nadi more than a week ago.
Police have also confirmed that only three people were allegedly involved in the robbery and not five as earlier stated.
Two other people alleged to have been involved in the robbery have been charged and have been remanded in custody by the Nadi Magistrates court.
