Minister for Education Dr. Mahendra Reddy said the investigation has been completed regarding the case of a teacher who allegedly locked a Year 2 student in a fridge two weeks ago.
Reddy said they have taken appropriate disciplinary action and the teacher has been suspended.
He said he will not reveal the disciplinary action taken against the teacher.
Reddy earlier mentioned that the student is currently undergoing counseling and is recovering at home.
Police have questioned and released the teacher.
He is expected to be charged later.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Education is still investigating a case of a teacher who posted her overexposed photos on social media.
Reddy said he will not comment on this issue as investigations are underway.
