An International School Suva student said people living with cancer should not lose hope.

While celebrating Pinktober at the school today, Alice Sinclair said it is important to raise awareness on cancer as many do not fully understand the disease.

Sinclair said this is why they are raising awareness at the school today by doing a fundraising on cancer where proceeds will go towards children living with the disease.

She said people living with cancer should stay strong.

Teacher in charge of the celebration, Tanya Vatubua said the children have brought morning tea to sell at the school with the aim of collecting the funds for children living with cancer.

More than 500 students attend International School Suva.
