Sixteen year old Garreth Wekina, a PNG National and a student of International School Suva said Fiji is his home because he has lived here since he was eight years old.
The Year 11 student was part of the cultural dance group that celebrated Fiji Day today at International School.
Wekina said his parents are in PNG but he loves Fiji, the food and the culture.
Meanwhile Principal Anna Marsden says despite the different backgrounds, they are all Fijians.
More than 500 students took part in singing the National Anthem, and performing the meke, cultural dances and kalavata modeling.
