Discussions relating to Fiji’s participation at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio, Brazil were held between the Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama and International Olympic Committee president Thomas Bach today.
The Prime Minister says Fiji is looking forward to working with the International Olympic Committee to strengthen Fiji’s sporting sector.
He pointed out government’s commitment to develop the sporting sector for Fiji’s youth.
Bach led a high-level delegation including the IOC Vice President and President of the Australian National Olympic Committee John Coates and the Oceania IOC President Dr. Robin Mitchell to pay a courtesy visit to the Prime Minister.
