The Indonesian government is planning to complete the reconstruction of Queen Victoria School by the end of August.
Minister for Education, Dr Mahendra Reddy revealed in parliament today that the engineers are on schedule to complete the work by the deadline.
Reddy said that 30 engineers from Indonesia and 15 from the RFMF will start constructing the hostel by the end of this week.
He added that they will construct 13 classrooms and more buildings.
Reddy said that the engineers have completed the chapel and are now working on the rest of the infrastructure.
NFP’s Tupou Draunidalo raised the question on why the government has not sort assistance from the British government or commonwealth countries to build the school as it is named after Queen Victoria.
Dr Reddy said that the adopted school program is open to anyone and not confined to any country.
