Prime Minister of the Republic of India, Narendra Modi will visit Fiji next month.
Upon arrival, Prime Minister Modi is expected to pay a courtesy call to President, Ratu Epeli Nailatikau after which he will meet with his Fijian counterpart Voreqe Bainimarama and other Cabinet Ministers.
The meetings will provide an opportunity for both Prime Ministers to discuss bilateral issues as well as regional developments.
Amongst other visits and events, Prime Minister Modi will officiate at the unveiling of a plaque for the parliamentary library, which was donated by the Government of India, and tour the new Fijian parliament.
Modi will be in the country on the 19th of November and will also meet with other Pacific Island leaders.
Meanwhile Australia’s Foreign Minister, Julie Bishop has arrived in the country.
She is expected to meet Prime Minister Bainimarama and will also attend the Fiji Australia Business Council Forum in Suva.
