Indian High Commissioner to Fiji Vishvas Sapkal has confirmed that the Commission is aware of the alleged beating of the Fijian student in the Banaras Hindu University.
A student of Fiji was allegedly beaten up on Friday by four unidentified students on India’s Banaras Hindu University premises.
According to the officers who registered the case on Sunday, Munish Krushil Sami a first year BA student at the Faculty of Arts in the Banaras Hindu University, was on his way back to the International Hostel when a group of four students pushed him to the ground.
Police have also revealed that Sami had somehow managed to escape from these boys however the same boys stopped him and thrashed him near the intersection of the Faculty of Arts building.
Meanwhile, the father of the boy Krishna Sami has also confirmed that the boy is safe and his son was able to defend himself.
