Independent Bus Fare Review committee continue to analyze various factors with regards to fare price

The independent Bus Fare Review committee is dissecting issues noted from past consultations with bus fares and the fluctuation of fuel prices in the recent months as they continue with the review.

Committee Chairman Joel Abraham says the committee is constantly looking at the changes in the market with regards to fuel prices and it has been collating data from the e-ticketing system.

Abraham also highlighted challenges that they have faced while conducting the review as they are continuing with the review.

Abraham says that for the committee it is imperative to get a proper analysis first adding that the independent Bus Fare Review committee will not rush the review.

He says that the committee is still looking at how the cost structures will be before they make a decision that will be announced in due course.
