If you have a dream, work towards it, it’s the only way you can achieve it.
These were the words of 12-year-old Timoci Naulusala who is one of the two oratory competition winners that represented Fiji at the COP23 in Bonn Germany.
He was amongst the 600 applicants who received assistance from ‘Save the Children Fiji’ this year.
Naulusala of Naivicula District School could not hold his emotion while sharing his story with Fijivillage.
Growing up with a total of nine siblings and having to encounter the massive destruction caused by Winston, Naulusala could not hope for anything more then keeping his dream alive.
Naulusala whose dad is a farmer says that his mum goes to the Nausori market every weekend to sell their produce as it is their only source of income.
He says he never dreamt to be part of something big, especially being raised in a rural community.
When asked about his achievements at the COP23.
He says he never thought that one of his biggest dream which is to travel the world would come so soon.
Naulusala is attending Year 8 at Naivicula District School in Tailevu with another younger sibling, sibling while another two of his siblings will be attending Tailevu North and the rest of his siblings are happily married.
Naulusala who aspires to become a Journalist was happily assisted by ‘Save the Children Fiji’ with School stationaries, school bags and exercise books.
