An iconic image of New Zealand’s Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern hugging one of the victims after the Christchurch terrorist attack has been displayed on the tallest building in the world as a sign of appreciation from the United Arab Emirates.
The Burj Khalifa in Dubai lit up with the photo last night to honour Jacinda Ardern for her “sincere empathy and support” to the Muslim community.
The impressive building stands at a total height of 829.8 metres, making it tallest structure in the world.
Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and the ruler of Dubai, Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, thanked the New Zealand Prime Minister on social media for how she has handled the aftermath of the massacre.
