The streets of Renwick Road have taken on a colorful hue as vendors have lined the streets to sell several varieties of mangoes.
Several vendors have displayed an array of mangoes from bright green to yellow to deep red, hoping they will catch the eyes of passers by.
42-year-old Merewai Lewatabua who is from Vavi, Naqiri in Emuri which is near Sigatoka says she has brought mangoes to sell in Suva so she can help support her family of six.
Lewatabua says she paid $200 for a carrier to bring the mangoes to Suva this morning and will return in a bus this afternoon.
She says she also plants cassava and tobacco to help support her family.
Meanwhile, 28 year old Sereima Wati who is from Naitasiri says she got the mangoes from Yaqara which are hand picked. Wati says she expects to earn about $70 per box and hopes her 5 boxes full of mangoes will be sold this week.
