Police have confirmed that the hunt continues for 33-yea-old Deshwar Kishore Dutt who escaped from the Suva High Court on Thursday morning.
The escorting officer Sepeti Tabaiwalu told High Court Judge Justice Salesi Temo that he was tying his shoe lace when Dutt ran away.
Tabaiwalu told the court that they looked around but could not find him.
Justice Temo has issued a bench warrant against Dutt and he sentenced him in his absentia to 15 years imprisonment.
He was convicted for two counts of aggravated robbery.
Dutt can apply for parole after serving 14 years in jail.
On 20th July, 2014, Dutt robbed two families in Samabula and stole assorted items total value of $165,863.
