This Christmas will bring lots of joy for 150 staff of Housing Authority as they will have extra money in their pockets.
Acting Prime Minister Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum has announced that the staff will receive pay adjustments back dated to 2011.
The adjustment backdated amount from 2011 is $369,774 and the back dated amount from 2013 to date is $176,544.
Sayed-Khaiyum says the right people should always get the right package.
Meanwhile, the Acting Prime Minister also announced that for the first time in history Housing Authority made a profit of $2.5 million this year.
CEO, Joshua Wycliffe acknowledged his staff for their hard work.
