People can expect a new look Holiday Inn in Suva when renovation work is completed in July next year.
The FNPF Hotel Resorts Limited has announced that the work which has started will give the hotel a completely revitalised look with planned refurbishment of the hotel’s guest rooms, public areas, and façade, food and beverage outlets.
The Holiday Inn was acquired by the FHRL a subsidiary company of the Fiji National Provident Fund in 2005.
The Hotel is managed by the Intercontinental Hotel Group under its Holiday Inn brand.
FNPF Chief Investment Officer, Jaoji Koroi says this project is part of the on‑going rehabilitation process undertaken by the Fund to improve the value of its investments.
Koroi says recent examples of such rehabilitation includes the Grand Pacific Hotel, the Momi Bay project, demolition and re‑development of the Greig Street project, and the re‑development of the Nadi property.
The renovation of the Holiday Inn is also part of the upgrading of the foreshore precinct, which included the restoration of the Grand Pacific Hotel to its current status.
The project will be undertaken by Pacific Building Solutions that was selected after a robust public tender process.
