Local renown Fashion Designer, Hupfeld Hoerder is aiming to grace the runway of this year’s Fiji Fashion week with a collection of evening bridal couture with a mixture of the 1950's and 1960's designs.
Hoerder who is the creator of Hupfeld Hoerder Designs is known for his signature hand prints of island theme’s and he incorporates traditional with western fabrics to make his designs hold a strong sense of the Pacific and promotes our culture and tradition.
He also shared how he initially started designing by making beach bags which eventually led to shift dresses and summer dresses.
Hoerder who will be showcasing his designs tonight currently runs his business online.
Other designers who's work will feature at this year's Fiji Fashion Week include, 8 Mountains by Moira Solvalu, Hefrani by Aisea Konrote, RKFJ by Robert Kennedy, Kuiviti by Epeli Tuibeqa, Elaradi by Laisiasa Davetawalu and Michael Mausio.
Fiji Fashion Week's Cruise Resort Show will be held tonight while the Luxe Resort Show will be held tomorrow night at 7pm at the FMF Gymnasium.
