Hindus all over the country celebrate Holi to mark the beginning of spring

Hindus all over the country will today celebrate Holi which marks the beginning of spring.

Holi also symbolises new beginnings and people play with colors and sing special songs during the celebrations.

Meanwhile the Sanatan Dharam Pratinidhi Sabha of Fiji has canceled all plans to celebrate Holi on a large scale at Sanatan temples after the Christchurch terror attacks.

The Nadi Chamber of Commerce and Industry has also canceled their Holi plans and will now bepray for the speedy recovery of shattered lives and shattered families who must be finding extreme difficulties to bear and cope following the Christchurch terror attack.
