In its fourth week of operations more than 300 people in Tavua and Ba have been assisted through the Help for Home Initiative this weekend.
Residents from Bangladesh, Goldfield Road, Nadolodolo, Tavua town, Tavualevu village, Vanuwakula village and Yasiyasi have received the e-card with a smile to build their new homes which were damaged during the Cyclone Winston.
Tavualevu village head man, Peni Maka said the village has a population of 2,000 and nearly all of them were affected.
He said they will now be able to revive their livelihood.
Meanwhile, the Ba District Advisory Chairman, Yogesh Chand said the burden from the 360 families have been eased through the assistance.
Chand said the main source of living in these communities is mainly farming which was also affected by the cyclone and the income the residents are earning is not enough to build a house on their own.
