Heavy rain warning still remains in force for a number of areas

A heavy rain warning remains in force for eastern and northern Viti Levu, and nearby smaller islands, Kadavu, western and southern Vanua Levu, Lau and Lomaiviti Group.

The heavy rain warning has been cancelled for southern Viti Levu, Yasawa and Mamanuca Group.

A heavy rain alert remains in force for the rest of Fiji.

The Nadi Weather Office says a trough of low pressure with associated cloud and rain continues to affect Fiji.

It is expected to gradually weaken later today.

People can expect occasional rain, heavy at times and few thunderstorms over eastern and northern Viti Levu and nearby smaller islands, Kadavu, western and southern Vanua Levu, Lau and Lomaiviti Group.

Localised heavy falls may lead to flash flooding in these areas.

A heavy rain warning remains in force for Viti Levu and nearby smaller islands, Yasawa and Mamanuca group, Kadavu, western and southern Vanua Levu, Lau and Lomaiviti group.

A heavy rain alert remains in force for the rest of Fiji.

The Nadi Weather Office says an active trough of low pressure is gradually moving into the group from the west. Associated cloud and rain affect the country. 

People can expect occasional rain, heavy at times and few thunderstorms over Viti Levu and nearby smaller islands, Yasawa and Mamanuca group, Kadavu, western and southern Vanua Levu, Lau and Lomaiviti group.

Showers will become heavy and frequent later today.

Localised heavy falls may lead to flash flooding in these areas.
