A heavy rain warning remains in force for the whole of Fiji group.
The Nadi Weather Office says that a trough of low pressure with associated cloud and rain remains slow moving over the Fiji group and it is expected to affect the country till the weekend.
It says people can expect the heavy rain to begin to ease from tomorrow night into Sunday morning.
The Weather Office says that Vanua Levu, Yasawa and Eastern parts of Viti Levu which includes Navua, Suva, Nausori and Korovou, Nadarivatu, Vatukacevaceva and from Nasivi to Tavua town can expect heavy rain with very short breaks, with thunderstorms.
It says that the Western parts of Viti Levu which include, Sigatoka, Lautoka, Nadi and Ba can expect isolated heavy falls and thunderstorms
Localised heavy falls may lead to flash flooding.
A flood warning remains in force for low lying areas and areas adjacent to Naqali River in Naitasiri.
A flood alert remains in force for low lying areas and small streams for the whole of Fiji and now in force for Wainibuka, Korovou and Rewa Rivers.
The next high tide will be at 3.02pm.
