A heavy rain warning is now in force for the whole of Fiji Group.
The Nadi Weather Office says a trough of low pressure with associated cloud and rain remains slow moving over the group and is expected to affect the country till the weekend.
A heavy rain warning remains in force for Eastern half and interior parts of Viti Levu, Yasawa, Mamanuca and the Lomaiviti group while a heavy rain alert remains in force for Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands and for the Northern Lau Group.
The Eastern half and interior parts of Viti Levu include, Navua, Suva, Nausori and Korovou, Nadarivatu, Vatukacevaceva and from Nasivi to Tavua town.
People can except rain, heavy at times and thunderstorms.
A flood alert is also now in force for low lying areas and areas adjacent to Waimanu Station downstream of Waimanu River in Naitasiri and for low lying areas and areas adjacent to small streams and rivers in Nabukaluka station in Naitasiri.
