A heavy rain warning remains in force for Viti Levu, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands, Yasawa and Mamanuca Group, Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands.
A heavy rain alert has also been issued for the rest of the Fiji Group.
The Nadi Weather Office says that this is caused by two troughs of low pressure one that is situated to the South West of the country and is moving towards the East.
It says that the second trough of low pressure is currently situated in the North.
These systems are expected to affect the country until tomorrow.
The Weather Office has also issued a Flood Alert for low lying areas adjacent to and downstream of major rivers and small streams in Rakiraki, Ba, Tavua, Lautoka, Nadi, Sigatoka, Navua, Korovou and Nausori.
Localised heavy rainfall may lead to flash flooding.
