A heavy rain and strong wind warning are still in force for Fiji due to a tropical depression.
A tropical depression was analysed about 390km to the west of Nadi at 4am today.
The depression is moving south‑southeast at about 18 km/hr.
A trough of low pressure with associated cloud, rain bands and strong winds affects the country.
People can expect periods of rain, heavy at times and few squally thunderstorms over most places today.
Localised heavy falls may lead to flash flooding.
Nadi Weather Office Director Ravin Kumar had highlighted yesterday that there is no real chance at this stage of the system to develop into a tropical cyclone while it’s over the Fiji waters.
