Nurses and Doctors around the country will now be well versed on how to treat patients with Non-Communicable Diseases following the launch of Wellness and Foot Care manual today.
Assistant Health Minister Veena Bhatnagar said the manuals for nurses will ensure they have improved access to information that will provide them the necessary guidance in advocating Wellness and proper foot care.
Bhatnagar said nurses are already undergoing training but these manual will further enhance their knowledge in treating patients with NCD and foot care disease.
She added the publications will also help them educate those who are free from the disease keep healthy.
She said the robust Wellness Program package for early detection, treatment and referral used widely throughout the country is an awesome plan that needs to be continuously and consistently supported.
The manuals will now be delivered to all Health Centers and Nursing stations in the country.
