The Ministry of Health will be distributing 16 ambulances to its facilities that have been identified to have been in dying need of an ambulance next week.
This was confirmed to Fijivillage by the Health Minister Rosy Akbar who says that there is no hold up in the distribution of the ambulances.
Akbar says that out of the 30 ambulances that have been handed over to the Fijian government by the Chinese government, 16 have been given to the Ministry of Health, 14 ambulance is with the Prime Minister’s Office for his commitment in other areas of the sector which need ambulance services.
A total of 200 vehicles have been handed over to the Fijian government by the Chinese government which includes 50 school buses, 30 ambulances, 50 police cars, 50 minibuses and 20 panel vans.
