Ministry for Health has launched a five year Climate change and Health Strategic Action Plan which is a roadmap for the Ministry to build and strengthen climate-resilient health system for five years in Fiji.
Health Minister Rosy Akbar says this was developed to ensure that the Fiji’s Health system including the health facilities are protected.
Akbar says Fiji is among the vulnerable island nations that are facing severe effects of climate change.
Akbar says the action plan will empower the health system to address climate change and health issues and protect public health in Fiji.
