Minister for Health and Medical Services, Jone Usamate has urged people to forward their complaints to the Ministry if they are unhappy about health services.
Usamate says sometimes people complain because they do not fully understand how the health system operates and sometimes people’s expectations are too high.
Meanwhile, the Minister says they are continuing to look at some of the main processes at hospitals and health centers to improve their service delivery.
He says one of the things they are looking at is the process that they use to manage the long lines at hospitals and health centers.
Usamate adds there have been complaints about not having enough medicine and they have been talking to their Pharmacy officials about improving their process to make sure that medicine is available everywhere.
People can call the Ministry of Health headquarters on 3306177 or email their complaints through the Ministry’s website www.health.gov.fj.
