“Hard work always pays off”.
Those are the words of USP Vice‑Chancellor Professor Rajesh Chandra at the University of the South Pacific graduation ceremony at the Vodafone Arena today.
Professor Chandra reminded the graduates of the importance of hard work and quoted a speech that was made by Fiji 7s coach Ben Ryan.
A total of 926 students graduated today and 64% were female graduates.
The number of female graduates was 90% more than the April graduation.
47% of the students are undergraduates, 30% are postgraduates and three students graduated with a Ph.D.
Twenty‑three percent of the graduates were part of the Pacific Technical and Further Education (Pacific TAFE) Programme.
There were 20 graduates from non‑member countries.
