Great news for the students and staff of Pandit Shreedhar Maharaj College in Wainibokasi as they will soon have 2 new classrooms that will be able to accommodate up to 70 students.

This comes after the ground breaking ceremony of the 2 new classrooms at the school premises this afternoon.

While officiating at the ground breaking ceremony, Attorney General and Minister for Education, Aiyaz Sayed Khaiyum said that so many schools were started throughout Fiji by faith based organizations, local communities and various non-government organizations.

He says that government wants to ensure that youths who are the majority of the country’s population are given the right tools to improve their lives and this is access to education adding that in order for Fiji to ensure that we have economic growth we need to ensure that our young people are educated and qualified.

Meanwhile, Pandit Shreedhar Maharaj College Principal Manorma Prasad said the two new classrooms will accommodate those  students who have been using the school’s boardroom and shed for classes.

The school currently has 397 students and 32 teachers.
