Great news for 32 households of Uluisavuidua in Sawani

32 households of Uluisavuidua in Sawani receive twenty five water tanks

32 households of Uluisavuidua in Sawani will no longer have to fetch water from creeks after twenty five water tanks were given to the settlement at a cost of $21,875.

Assistant Minister for Infrastructure and Transport, Vijay Nath says these water tanks will enable people to conduct their daily activities with ease by harvesting rain water.

Uluisavudua resident, 53 year old, Sotiana Tuifagalele says she has been residing in the area since 2012 and they have been using the creek for drinking water and washing.

The Fijian Government had allocated $1.3 million for the Free Water Tank scheme and $4.5 million for the Rain Water Harvesting scheme.
