Fiji Fashion Week Managing Director Ellen Whippy‑Knight is celebrating what her team calls their first real step into the big world of fashion.
The organisers of the biggest fashion event, The Mercedes Benz Fashion Week said the Pacific Resort Show will be shown live on the website of Vogue Magazine.
Vogue is an American fashion and lifestyle magazine that is published monthly in 23 different national and regional editions.
Speaking to Fijivillage, Knight said this is a great achievement for them as Fiji Fashion Industry continues to grow bigger and better.
Knight added that they will prove they belong amongst the best.
Meanwhile, five local designers will be featuring at the inaugural Pacific Resort collections show are Robert Kennedy, Rachel Fairfax, Jyoti Singh, Eeshaal Niranjan and Marika Deku.
Each will have 12 pieces showcased to an invite audience of 346 people.
Local models, Bulou Buatoka Vuta, Mykaela Powell, Remi Naqali and Fiji born Australian Asena Rokotuiwai will be part of the 25 overseas models, featuring in the Pacific Resort Collections Show this afternoon.
The event will also be streamed live on the website of Vogue Magazine: vogue.com.au/mbfwalive
