Villagers and students living in Cakaudrove, Vanua Levu have commended the Government for providing solar energy to their homes and schools.
Prime Minister, Voreqe Bainimarama commissioned the solar energy infrastructure projects in Napuka, Vunisavisavi and Karoko villages in Caukaudrove that will largely benefit students and schools.
Head teacher for Napuka Secondary School, Suluo Draunimasi says this will improve the quality of education provided to students that board at the school.
Marica Kuita of Vuni-savisavi village says the project will help the village especially the women.
The Prime Minister thanked the Fijians living in these communities for their resilience and for pushing for development for their children.
Bainimarama has stressed the importance of Fijians fully utilising Government’s investment ‑ especially when these investments are targeted at improving education.
He has also urged students to study hard.
The Prime Minister also presented a new fibre glass boat to Fijians living in Korocau village in Nakobo.
