A lot has been done by government to address the discriminatory practices which is affecting women nowadays.

This was highlighted by the Minister of Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation Mereseni Vuniwaqa while officiating at the Ministry's International Women's Day Celebration at Novotel last night.

Vuniwaqa says the Women’s Forum earlier this week provided women a platform of dialogue in addressing the challenges women face and how the ministry can better provide services to the women who need them most.

The International Women's Day Celebration was attended by senior government officials, Development Partners, cooperate organizations and representatives from women NGO’s.

Vuniwaqa also launched the National Women's Expo 2019 which will be held from the 12th -14th of June at the FMF Gymnasium.
