Prime Minister, Voreqe Bainimarama has told the opposition that the government can provide the details on the costs in relation to the proposed Fiji flag change.
He made this response after questions raised by Opposition MP, Niko Nawaikula.
Nawaikula also asked the government side why they are wearing the current flag every day when they are changing it.
Bainimarama has made it clear in parliament that the government will not have a referendum on whether the current national flag should be changed or retained.
Bainimarama made this clear when he was asked the question by Opposition Leader, Ro Teimumu Kepa.
Ro Teimumu then raised the issue again on why there will be on referendum on this issue as she highlighted the Teabutt Research poll result which says that majority of the people surveyed want to have a say on whether the Fiji flag should be changed.
Speaker of the House, Doctor Jiko Luveni says the poll result is just an allegation through the media and the Prime Minister has already answered the question.
The flag design and feedback process has been extended to December this year, and cabinet and parliament will decide on the new Fiji flag next year.
