A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed by the Parliament of the Republic of Fiji and the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea.
The importance of friendship and cooperation between the two countries was reaffirmed after the visit by the Fiji Speaker of Parliament Doctor Jiko Luveni to the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea in July last year.
The Speaker of the National Assembly of Korea Chung Sye‑kyun is also in the country.
As part of the Memorandum of Understanding, the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea and the Parliament of the Republic of Fiji have shared the importance of friendship and cooperation between the countries.
They have agreed on the need to further develop and strengthen friendship and cooperation between the two Parliaments.
The two Speakers of Parliament shared the view that enhancing parliamentary cooperation and exchange would contribute to deeper understanding and friendship between the two countries and their people.
