Fiji National University Vice-Chancellor Professor Nigel Healey has confirmed that they have received the full structural engineering report on the damages to the Raiwai Campus caused by Tropical Cyclone Winston.
Healey says the report will give the FNU the real cost of the repair to bring it back to its original state.
He says they are still waiting on the report from the service engineer on the electrical works that is required.
Healey adds FNU will make a decision shortly on whether it is economical to repair the building or to demolish and than rebuild.
He says the rebuilding would take several months before the campus opens.
Healey had earlier confirmed that total damages caused by TC Winston was about $1 million.
He says they feel that the contractor who was carrying out the roof repair works before Cyclone Winston should also be held responsible for some of the damages to the campus as it was not properly secured before the cyclone struck.
Meanwhile the courses that were offered at the Raiwai Campus were Media and Journalism, Music, Film and Television and Graphic Designs.
Students enrolled in these courses have been relocated to the Nasinu Campus.
